'The Himalayan Ashram of Vedic Astrologers' is an emotional effort to consciously spread the astounding capabilities of vedic Indian astrology and the lesser - known masters who practice it.
I Dhananjaya Sharma, a documentry film maker by profession, founded 'The Himalayan Ashram of Vedic Astrologers' in March 2001. 'The organization has its head office at C-1/1628, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi and an administrative office at Haridwar / Rishikesh in Northern India.
The set up process was a difficult one solely due to the lack of any astrological history. But I had a decent base as I had come in contact with a couple of amazing birthchart readers who forecast my son's well being at the Himalayan city of 'Haridwar' in northern India during my visit in December, 2001. The simplicity and divinity of these masters intrigued me to no end and I made up my mind to form this astrology portal as soon as their astrological predictions regarding my son came true to the minutest detail. The one vital aspect of astrology, which came forth, was that astrology is a combination of divine foresight or intuition and theoretical knowledge. The masters meditate on this eternal science of life, which builds a divine aura around them. I could feel it.
My foremost challenge was to convince these non-commercial and lesser-known yogic city astrologers to spearhead my ashram and the portal. I promised them monetary and social upliftment in return for their expertise to mitigate human sufferings worldwide. Their lack of English language has been over come by inducing English proficient administrative staff who translate the predictions from Sanskrit / Hindi to English.
I have carefully handpicked the panel of astrologers through personal references and birth chart reading tests. I have also included some of the best -known names from Delhi, Haridwar and Rishikesh that are very reputed and experienced solely to level any contradictions in individual predictions. Wrong predictions can have serious implications and we realize it.
