RMC Resources Management Consultants Ltd., founded in 1967, provides consulting services to its clients from offices in Toronto and Edmonton.
Since its inception, the firm has operated as a clinic of independent consultants who work for clients through RMC. The Principals (Owners and Managers) and Associates (Other full-time professionals) of the firm have all had extensive experience in both consulting and management positions. We have also established affiliations with a number of Consulting Associates, representing a variety of management disciplines both in Canada and abroad.
Our experience indicates that projects are successful when consultants work closely with the client's team and assist them in becoming better decision makers. This close working relationship not only tends to prevent a destabilizing impact on the client's organization, but also leads to greater assurance of success, continuity of new programs and attainment of the desired objectives.

We Provides consulting services to its clients from offices in Toronto and Edmonton. International Consulting Opportunities :- RMC's recognition by the international community as a provider of high quality professional services has resulted in an increase in project opportunities and a need for additional relevant human resources. We require specialists with (preferably) post graduate degrees and extensive international experience on World Bank and/or other IFI funded projects in one or more of the following areas :- Health Policy / Health Planning, Health Legislation, Organizational Development, Epidemiology, Public Health / PHC, Health Economics / Health Financing, Quality Assurance, Human Resource Development / Training, Budgeting and Financial Accounting / MIS. Project Management in Health Sector Reform :- Transformation of the health sector is a complex undertaking that attempts to realize goals and objectives through the development of ?people? and ?systems? and the extensive use of expert assistance and appropriate coaching and knowledge transfer. RMC provides Technical Assistance to support the Project Office with project management, procurement and financial management. Health, Social Services and Education :- Consulting to the public sector provides special challenges. Demographic and economic factors combine to produce important changes in social infrastructure. The major components of this infrastructure - health care institutions, social service programs, and schools, colleges and universities - have become established means of investing in the future. This investment, however, has significant operating cost implications. Health, social services and education consume the major portion of public expenditures in Canada and similar levels in other developed countries. Understanding these three program areas and developing necessary and appropriate policies, planning systems and capital development plans present an enormous challenge to those responsible for funding, managing and providing services. Members of RMC have been involved, both nationally and internationally, in health and social services projects as diverse as countrywide comprehensive health care restructuring; the establishment of regional health authorities; the development of management planning and control systems and specialty studies for individual institutions; and assisting clients to manage complex technical and capital works projects. Our Work in Facility Planning :- Master Development Planning & Facility Evaluation, Functional Programming & Master Programming, Health Care - International. Corporate Planning and Organization Development :-We see corporate planning as a process consisting of the following components :- Setting strategic objectives that define the desirable corporate aims to be achieved. Selecting the best tactical mechanisms through which the strategic objectives are to be optimized. Developing operational plans that ensure the best use of the organizational resources within the desired time frame. Structuring the management process that provides for the most effective decision making and execution. Developing the communications systems, including the formalized management information that provide necessary support to the management process. Defining the operational tasks and associated staffing requirements. Organization Development :- This capability is govered by three braod factors :- the structure of oraganizational functions; the motivational climate within the organization, and; the quality of the organization's leadership. Classification of Specialties in MIS :- Systems Planning, Systems Development, Systems Review and Enhancement, Special Computer Applications. Human resources development programs must include :- identifying skills required; defining personnel selection procedures; defining promotion policies; selecting and/or developing educational and training materials; selecting and developing instructors; transferring newly gained knowledge and skills to actual work environment; organizing administrative procedures; and Evaluating performance.
