The Fertilizer Advisory, Development and Information Network for Asia and the Pacific (FADINAP) was established in 1978 as a United Nations interagency network of ESCAP, FAO and UNIDO to provide assistance to the developing countries of the region in their efforts to increase food production by supporting the development of an efficient and effectively functioning fertilizer sector in Asia and the Pacific region. Since 1991, FADINAP has been promoting environmentally- friendly fertilization in an effort to promote a better environment while ensuring food security. FADINAP works closely with national and international fertilizer organizations as well as with the fertilizer industry. FADINAP's activities to a large extent are governed by the needs of the region, and the requests for assistance by individual countries which are supported by priority assistance policies and funds from donors and/or technical cooperation among developing countries.

Products :
We provides training opportunities, advisory and information services to member countries and stimulates technical co-operation among developing countries (TCDC) in fertilizer sector development. The main activities of FADINAP fall into three categories: Information services for better awareness, Development of human resources and Project identification and advisory services to governments and institutions in the fertilizer sector.
