Our Services are as follows The laser based Non-Destructive Testing equipment ranges from: -Laser Shearography Originally designed for Strain Analysis, it is very sensitive to slight changes in surface strain due to subsurface discontinuities. This equipment will rapidly find discontinuities in honeycombs and foam laminar composites and is used on a varied range of advanced composites in a wide range of applications. -Whole Field Strain Analysis Laser Strain Mapping The visualisation of Whole Field In-Plane-Strain - the world's first measurement of the principal axis strains of a component or structure. The Laser Strain Mapper uses the technique of Electronic Speckle Pattern Shearing Interferometry (ESPSI) developed at Loughborough University to provide non-contact, wholefield, colour strain maps. It is a rugged, turnkey design for on site or laboratory applications. The state of the art laser, optics and camera system produces large area images <0.5m2 for maximum non-contact surface measurement of in-plane deformation. Real time qualitative data available as hardcopy and the quantitative data processed in less than 1 minute from data collection.
