White Mountain Labs is a turnkey test facility for the characterization of IC component ESD and latch-up in semiconductor components. The determination of ESD and latch-up immunity in integrated circuits is required by industry standards, including the Mil-Std 883, the Electronic Industries Association (EIA/JEDEC), and the Automotive Electronics Council (AEC). Here at White Mountain Labs, we are dedicated to providing customers with consistent, accurate, and friendly results. Our testing is the key to your success. With quick turn-around and quality results, WML maintains a positive relationship with their customers throughout each step of the testing process.

With one goal in mind, White Mountain Labs was founded in December of 1999 to meet the needs of the semiconductor industry by providing quick turn-around and expert ESD and latch-up testing to the industry standards. Since our beginning, we have successfully completed over 3000 ESD and Latch-up projects. In 2004 alone, we helped customer's complete 181 complex Latch-up projects and currently have over 100 active customers worldwide.

Located in Phoenix, Arizona, White Mountain Labs maintains a 4000 square foot facility in the Westmount Tech Center. Within the facility lies a 2500 square foot laboratory with VPI conductive flooring, ESD-safe tables, chairs, racks, carts, etc. This is to ensure that all parts are being tested in the safest environment possible. All work and reports are compiled over a secure network with daily backups.

All ESD and LU testing is performed with equipment manufactured by Thermo Electron of Lowell, MA. Currently, we have the capability to test integrated circuits with up to 768 pins using Thermo Electron ZapMaster testers, the Robotic Charged Device Model Tester, and the new Mk.2.

In June 2001, White Mountain Labs was chosen by Thermo Electron to be the beta-site test facility for the next generation tester, the Mk.2. The Mk.2 has test capability up to 768 pins, and includes the ability to perform ?vector? latch-up testing. Presently, White Mountain Labs has the only Mk.2 tester in the west.

Transmission Line Pulse (TLP) testing is performed using the Barth Electronics Model 4002 TLP tester.

Work-in-progress (WIP) is monitored by custom manufacturing tracking software, specifically designed for White Mountain Labs. Our systematic flow and rigorous tracking supports our commitment to quick turn-around.

Currently, we offer a complete suite of component qualification ESD testing to JEDEC, ESDA and Automotive industry standards, along with Latch-up testing. In addition to the HBM, MM, CDM and Latch-up standards listed below, White Mountain Labs also provides Transmission Line Pulse (TLP testing) for semiconductor device development. Our custom software includes: LabStatus? - A tracking and verification process software that allows customers to login at any time to check the real-time status of their device testing. LUDesigner? - Takes a minimum set of product information and generates a full suite of latch-up setup conditions. It also allows for clear visibility in setup as well as faster convergence on an optimum test setup. LabResults? - A data capture viewing tool for ESD that brings more meaningful data into the final report and gives customers more confidence that the results are correct.
