The Brief Introduction of Shanxi Province Cereals, Oil and Food Import and Export Company Shanxi Province Cereals, Oil and Food Import and Export Company (SXCOFCO) was set up in 1975, one of the state-owned main enterprises directly administered by Shanxi Foreign Economic Relationship and Trade Bureau. It is a foreign-orientation enterprise integrating trading, industry, information, service and science research as one whole, going across many fields, such as farm produce, food, chemical, light industry, textile, garment and house leasing, etc.

Our company has been engaged in the import and export of cereals, oil and food over a long period of time. It is one of the biggest enterprises importing and exporting farm produce in Shanxi Province, selected into the top 500 import and export enterprises in the whole country for successive five years. By September, 2002, the accumulative total of our company's import and export figures is $721.0104 million, among it, the accumulative total of export figures is $638.8866 million and that of import figures $83.1288 million.
Since the company was set up, along with the continuous development of China's market economy, our company has speeded up the strategical adjustment, exerted great efforts to carry out the operation strategy of industrialization, internationalization and diversification, effectively promoted the company's transformation from the traditional foreign trade enterprise to the comprehensive operation enterprise and gradually developed into the new enterprise integrating trade, industry, information, service and scientific research as one whole. At present, our company has formed the diversification development pattern, mainly dealing with the processing and exportation of cereals, oil and food, the production and operation of high-tech new materials, minerals and chemicals, and the charter business of real estate, and concurrently giving consideration to the other industries.

In 1999, catering for the development tendency of the economic globalization, our company carried out the development strategy of recombination and system transformation. Our company comprehensively plans the business activities from the viewpoint of the global big market, setting up the new resources deployment system, management framework and operational mechanism inside the company, actively taking part in the international competition and realizing the profit maximum. Through recombination and system transformation, our company has further strengthened the core business and core competitiveness, and at the same time, organized Xinzhida Industrial Co., Ltd. (mainly dealing with the business of garments and textile trading), Haolida Industrial Co., Ltd. (mainly dealing with the food production, processing and trading business), Huahe Industrial Co., Ltd. (mainly dealing with frozen meat production and trading business), Zhongrui Huading Industrial Co., Ltd. (mainly dealing with the farm produce, by-products, chemicals, industrial product import and export business) and Ruici Technological Co., Ltd. (mainly dealing with the research and development of high-tech product of permanent magnetic materials and the processing and trading business).
