Company Profile
Soft-AID Computers P Ltd was formed in 1989 by Mr. Amol Deshpande & Mr. John Thomas with no employees. Over the years, it has grown to a company with a Turnover of Rs. 25 million, and 5 branches. SCPL is headquartered at Pune, and branch offices at Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and New Delhi.

Nature of business
SCPL is currently involved in the following activities:

AMC
Under AMC , SCPL offers services like Facility management , Network Administration Services and Hardware Maintenance Services. Presently ONGC , RBI , AAI, NCL, Kirloskar Oil Engines, Kinetic Group are some of the AMC Customers.

Printerhead Refurbishing
SCPL undertakes repairs / refurbishing of printerheads. Precision parts like guides, pins are replaced and aligned resulting into a quality output that matches a new printerhead. SCPL has received the prestigious G. S. Parkhe Award for Industrial Excellence from Mahratta Chamber of Commerce and Industries for the excellent work done in developing this technology and implementing it in India. SCPL currently exports parts required for Printhead Refurbishing and also offers consultancy services for setting up a Printhead Refurbishing unit. We are currently exporting to over 22 countries worldwide.

Software Development
The Software division of SCPL started with India's first anti-virus software called CURE. Developed under C. Thousands of copies of this software were sold all over the country and this was one of the most popular Antivirus Softwares in the country. SCPL also has a multimedia division which has produced many multimedia CBTs for Indian Armed Forces and Defence Labs in India.

SCPL entered the Library Automation field with customized development for a customer. Starting with a DOS version in its early days , today Libsuite works with an Open Database connectivity to any popular RDBMS like Oracle, SQL Server or Sybase. It also offers a WEB module which helps in launching the data on the WEB.

In the last few years SCPL has worked extensively in creating market awareness and brand equity for this product. Seminars in state capitals, advertisements in Library Trade Magazines , Participation in the exhibitions held by various Library association and personal visits were some of the promotional vehicles used. This package has improvised over a period of time and is used by many leading libraries like Bombay Stock Exchange, IDBI, IDFC, LIC etc.
